The VETPAD. is an air-filled balance pad specially designed for dogs. With the VETPAD., you can playfully improve your dog's balance and fitness, making an important contribution to your dog's overall health. Especially older dogs benefit from regular training with the VETPAD. In canine physiotherapy, it is used for the rehabilitation of orthopedic and neurological conditions.
With just a few minutes a day, you can playfully improve your dog’s proprioception and fitness, build muscle, and support your dog’s overall health.
The number of VETPADs needed for training depends on your goals and the size of your dog.
For very small dogs, such as Toy Poodles, Pomeranians, and similar breeds, one VETPAD is usually enough to place both the front and hind paws on the pad at the same time.
Training intensity and frequency should always be adapted to your dog’s health and daily condition.
Even 10 minutes of training a day can be enough to challenge your dog both physically and mentally, and to improve their overall fitness.
The VETPAD. was developed by a veterinarian based on real clinical experience. It has been adapted and optimized to meet the needs of a wide variety of dogs and is manufactured in Germany. The VETPAD offers enough space even for large dogs, is extremely non-slip, stackable, and features a reinforced edge that prevents it from collapsing or tipping sideways.
The two different tactile surfaces allow for versatile training and provide particular benefits for neurologically affected or senior dogs.
Yes! The VETPAD is wide enough for large dogs and extremely stable in shape. It can support up to 330 lbs.
At the beginning, it’s best to introduce your dog to the VETPAD. in a playful way. Let your dog first simply explore and inspect the pad. Then, try encouraging your dog to place their front paws on the pad or walk across it. Every paw contact should be rewarded. Once your dog is comfortable with the new training tool, you can start working on standing still correctly, which is the foundation for all further exercises.
The exercises should always be adapted to your dog’s health and daily condition. Basic exercises suitable for almost every dog include “standing still,” “weight shifting,” and “isometric exercises.” If your dog has an orthopedic or neurological condition, it’s best to coordinate the exercises with your veterinarian or canine physiotherapist.
Puppies can also do exercises on the VETPADs. However, the training should be very playful, allowing the puppy to simply feel and explore the pads.
The VETPAD. should be inflated enough to lie flat on the ground. If needed, the air pressure can be adjusted via the built-in valve located at the bottom right on the textured side.
Our VETPAD. is made from a specially developed, high-quality plastic that is BPA-free, durable, and fully recyclable. It is produced in Germany under the highest quality and safety standards, so you can be confident it is safe for your dog.
For cleaning, we recommend using water and dish soap.
